The Zurich University of Applied Sciences ZHAW, together with the Swiss Green Building Association SFG and the European Federation of Green Roof & Wall Associations, is organising the World Congress on Green Roofs and Façades Basel 2025, one of the pioneer cities in support programmes for green roofs and façades.

The city and the University of Basel are hosting the scientific, practice-oriented event, which is being organised in cooperation with various national and international partners and associations. The congress will take place on 19th and 20th June 2025 in the Kollegiengebäude of the University. The congress will be complemented by a specialist exhibition and a varied accompanying programme of excursions, guided tours and courses as part of the Green Building Week Basel & Zurich (16-21 June 2025).

At the congress, 400 participants are expected on site and online. Together with the supporting programme of guided tours, courses and excursions, we expect more than 1000 participants. The events will be announced and accompanied by extensive public relations work. Local, national and international media (daily newspapers, trade journals, etc.) will be present to provide information about this major event.

You are all interested in green roofs and façades, planning, building, maintaining, manufacturing components and systems. With the congress and the Green Building Week, we offer you the opportunity to present your products and services to the public from a broad spectrum of experts.

All participants will be provided with specific documentation on the subject of green roofs and façades.

  • you are represented with your logo on the front page of the Congress and Green Roof Weeks programme flyer (direct mailing to approx. 50,000 institutions and professionals in Switzerland, Europe, USA and Asia), Congress posters and the Congress documents,

  • you can present your company immediately on our homepage (front page) and in the congress documents (max. 50 words), please note that the principle of "first come first serve" applies, i.e. the logo of the first confirming company/institution will be placed at the top of the webpage and further according to the order of receipt of the confirmation.

  • you are entitled to participate in the exhibition and to present your services and products on 5 to 6m2 (2 exhibition tables),

  • you will attend the conference free of charge (2 persons),

  • you are invited to the official dinner with the main sponsors, organisers and partners (2 persons).
