Green Building Week

The Green Building Week from 2 – 7 June 2025 will offer a weekly program on the topic for the general public and other interested professionals, including

• Guided tours

• Excursions

• Introductory courses on the installation and maintenance of green roofs and façades

• Information material

The existing and new promotion programs of Basel and Zurich will be presented at suitable locations.

As part of the Green Buildings Week, the local population in particular will be included in the overall event with the World Congress and thus also made aware of the topic. Numerous guided tours will be organised for the local population in Basel and Zurich in the evenings throughout the week. Two or three green roofs and façades will be on display and the relevant ecological aspects will be presented. The program will be announced accordingly in the press and other communication media.

My Green Facade!

As an additional event element, homeowners are being sought who have an attractive green facade on their house and are willing to share their experiences regarding installation, maintenance efforts, and measures with an interested audience. A small aperitif will be provided on-site to allow for impressions and a social exchange. Ten such locations are planned in both Basel and Zurich.

Target Audience

The general public/private individuals, property owners interested in greening their properties, houses, etc.

Professionals from municipal and cantonal authorities/architects who should be sensitized to the advantages, implementation, and funding opportunities of green roofs and facades.
